relevant c.L.E.A.N.
Purpose: To ensure all spaces across Relevant Church’s campus remain clean, organized, and ready to use daily. Our C.L.E.A.N. standard provides clear and consistent communication for all departments and areas- regardless of who is using it.
Relevant C.L.E.A.N. applies to all staff, volunteers, teams, ministries, and anyone who uses any area on campus.
Non-negotiable standard: Relevant C.L.E.A.N. is not optional. This is the best way to honor one another and steward the space God has entrusted to us. Relevant C.L.E.A.N. creates a consistent standard for all of those who utilize this space.
Relevant C.L.E.A.N.
Consistent: “Does this match the standard of this space?”
Each space has a specific way it is set up and maintained; reset according to its layout, photos, checklist, and configuration
Do not create new or personal systems
Return furniture, equipment, and supplies to their designated areas
Complete C.L.E.A.N. process every time, not just when it’s messy
Treat consistency as a form of care
Left better than you found it: “How did I leave this space better for others?”
Address visible messes, clutter, or disorganization
Improve area when possible (straighten, wipe, restock)
Never leave a space worse than you found it
Everything in its home: “Is every item back in its designated area?”
Complete the work 100%
Return all items back to their designated areas
Do not leave items on counters, tables, carts, booths, stages, or floors
All areas checked: “Did I do a thorough scan of the whole area?”
Walk the entire area and address any issues
Dispose of any trash, clear sinks, and empty trash bins if full
Break down and flatten all boxes and discard into dumpster
Next team ready: “Can the next team walk in and use this space immediately?”
Leave space completely ready for the next team
Next team should not have to clean, organize, or reset before using
Being “next team ready” honors them and their time
